24 Hour Sale

24 Hour Sale

Hotels rates constantly change. On the days where demand is low, the rates will drop and vise versa. The idea of running 24, 48, or 72 hour sale is to get YOU to book that day. It discourages you from mulling over when you should book because by tomorrow, that deal will no longer be there.

This is a tried and true science. Usually hotels will run these timed sales on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (I can’t figure out why this is). Then some hotels will usually run 72 hour sales over the weekends as well. The trick is to know that these sales exist, and if you’re looking for a deal, make sure to look on the weekdays. Mondays and Thursdays are usually the worst days to book (except for MGM Grand – They run MGM Thursdays promo via Twitter).

Here are some tips on how you can find these deals:

  • Expedia.com runs a 48hour sale every Tuesdays and Wednesdays where it’ll list all participating hotels for up to 45% discounts. Normally, you’ll at least find The Strip casinos giving 10% – 20% discounts.
  • At least 3 Harrah’s owned hotels will have a 48 hour sale on Tue/Wed, and another 3 hotels for 72 hour sale on Fri/Sat/Sun.
  • MGM Grand runs a 24 hour sale every Thursdays – but you need to follow them on Twitter to get this deal.
  • Other MGM Mirage owned hotels will also run 24 – 72 hour sales, typically on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. To see if they’re running any of these sales, type in “Twitter” on the coupon code section when you’re searching for rates on their website. Or just follow them on Twitter to get their exclusive offers.
  • Trump International Hotel in Vegas also runs 24 hour sale every Tue/Wed with 20% discount

These are just some examples of major players on The Strip that utilize the 24/48/72 hour sales to grab your attention. When you see one, be confident that you just found the best deal yet and take action.

These sales are meant to be the best sales.
